HazTek, Inc., a leading safety company for the last 12 years, is seeking safety professionals for local and national projects in the following areas:

• Construction
• Environmental Remediation
• Marine Safety
• Construction Site Audits
• Confined Space Rescue
• Dredging
• Refinery Safety
• Project Management
• Risk Management
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control

The responsibilities of the Health & Safety Officer include:
• Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
• Conduct daily safety meetings
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
• Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Daily safety audits and inspections
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
• Inspect power tools and heavy equipment
• Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and health & safety plans (HASP)
• Research OSHA regulations in teh 1926 manual
• Must have experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, Excavation

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 2+ years direct construction or safety experience required
• OSHA 10 or 30 hour in Construction certification
• OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER a plus
• First Aid/CPR certified
• Expert in construction safety standards
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) or ability to obtain the card
• Experience working in a refinery in a safety capacity a plus
