Receiving Specialist

Responsibilities: Receive all incoming material including raw materials and equipment. Inspect all incoming materials to insure they conform to our guidelines. Record for tracking purposes all received material. Safely unload any and all material and/or equipment.
Inspect all lifting equipment prior to use (forklifts, cranes, monorails, chains, slings, etc).
Inspect all incoming material to determine condition, proper identification, piece count, safe handling, and suitability for galvanizing.
Record all incoming shipments of materials and equipment. Also, maintain files of all necessary documentation.
Safely unload incoming shipments with the proper use of forklifts, overhead cranes, material shuttles, pallet trucks, etc.
Communicate status of incoming material to the Receiver.
Assist in the repair, replacement, modification, installation, improvement of equipment, and perform routine and preventative maintenance on all area equipment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures.
Prior heavy forklift experience highly preferred.
Prior overhead crane experience highly preferred.
Must be able to obtain STS Forklift/Crane Certification
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Must be physically able to climb stairs and ladders.
Must be capable of climbing on and off the trucks for inspection and/or rigging
