Supervisor – Night Shift
at Sabre in Alvarado,TX
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Plant Supervisor of Sabre Galvanizing, the Supervisor manages plant production to achieve effiency, cost effectiveness, on-time production, and a quality product.
Supervises the plant processing operations to achieve efficiency, cost effectiveness, on-time production and a quality product.
Ensures compliance with the facility’s Safety Program and Environmental Program as directed.
Supervises the operation of acid recycling, flux recycling, galvanizing kettle and various departments.
Assists Plant Supervisor on plant schedules and issues.
Provides input on requirements needed to maintain cost efficiency on Sabre Products and customers products.
Makes recommendations to improve production flow, equipment performance, quality of product and cost savings.
Identify and implement process improvements including racking, kettle techniques, finishing, shipping and dross techniques
Increase efficiencies and production throughput
Requirements: It is preferred that the successful applicant hold an Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five + years experience in galvanizing/steel or similar manufacturing and heavy industry. This individual should have the ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Sabre’s policies and applicable laws.
Have working knowledge of OSHA and EPA rules and regulations along with basic computer skills, MS Office and Outlook.
