Commerical Business Manager

at Layfield Group of Companies in Washington

Based in our Northwest Regional offices in Renton, Washington, you are a key member of an experienced Northern U.S. sales team and will lead the region in new markets, new business opportunities, and strategic sales objectives within major resource sectors, government sectors and distributor sales programs, while ensuring that our high level of quality and customer service is maintained and while achieving regional sales objectives.

Targets:
• Lead an experienced sales and customer service staff.
• Promote Layfield's portfolio of products and services to government agencies, facility owners, contractors, oil and gas, mining, industrial clients and engineering consultants.
• Seek out and maintain positive client relations with new and existing clients within the region.
• Cultivate and develop existing and new markets in line with strategic objectives and sales and marketing objectives, by providing exceptional technical sales and customer service support.
• Monitor competitor threats, changes, and trends within the region.
• Develop and implement sales plans and specific selling programs to penetrate new markets, and territories within the Northern U.S.; coordinated with a strong marketing resources.

Achievements:
• 10+ years’ senior sales leadership experience, preferably with knowledge of construction, geotechnical industries
• Post-secondary degree in Business, Engineering or related fields
• Prior industry sales experience, including customer prospecting, business development and contract acquirement is an asset.
• Willingness and ability to create a network of industry contacts at a decision making level.
• Driven, self-starter with superb interpersonal skills.
• Proven problem solving abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel (40%).
